Post 10 English Language challenges

I said in the first class that I don’t learn in the previous three courses of English, because I think that is a short time for practice and improve this language. For me, particularly is very difficult learn this language because I don’t use in day a day, then when I learn a new word and later not use  it, I forget it. As a matter of fact, I don’t study outside of class, I listening music in English and when I like one and I want know what said or meaning the lyrics, look it for in internet the translation of letters. Moreover, when I see movies in English I put the subtitle; therefore, I don’t exercise my English outside class, except when I have homework’s as made a video or write my posts in other moment because I don’t finish in classes or absent one day.

I remember the concept of “significant learn”, because I feel that I must learn this language, is obligatory in my university, but I don’t choose learn this language, I feel that is more important for my future work know about other language for example corporal language or sign language.

Furthermore, I think that the blogs as a methodology for learn English is good, but I need a feedback of my posts, because I feel that I write with a difficult and worry me that the final evaluation is different because I don’t use the computer as support or internet to look a words that I don’t know.

The aspects that I believe are weakest in my English are all the aspects: comprehension, speak, pronunciation, vocabulary, conjugation of verbs, use the sentences correctly, etc…

I plan to do for improved English are: see movies and try understanding without read the subtitle and try read books or papers related with my career.

My future Job - Post 9

What am I going to be when I get older?

This questions, is the question that tormented me when I was in a school because I don't had decided for one career, but now in fourth year of Psychology, I’m feel more sure of my future, because I think that I takes a good decision.

In the next year I have decide my practice or qualified, I will choose qualified “Humanista”, because is the area that like me and I can use this technique in my future work, as art therapy (danceterapy, musicterapy, etc). My practice even not decide, because the offers is too much and in this moment I’m dismiss the place that definitely not like me, for example, the practice of area psychology work-organizational.

When I think in the job that I would like… I think in a job with good labor relations, I like work in a school with children and young’s specifically in the classroom for support a teachers to  improve the significant learn of students. Too, I like work with the parents (representative) because they know very much about of your son or daughter, therefore, if they collaborate with the school for improve the education of students.

Thus, the aspects that I considered when I choosing my job is that in the organization, the work in team interdisciplinary, because I think that the knowledge is collective and persons of different disciplines can complement very well if work for one common project.

In a job interview, I will said about of my strengths are: I’m a person responsible, organized, I like work in groups, and I’m empathic.

On the other hand, my weakness is principally my shyness when I’m with a lot people, but I'm working in this aspect.

Today in this post (number eight), I will talk about of my grandmother …

In the Tuesday 13 of November in this year, I went with my mother to inauguration of exposition of “Mujeres en el siglo XX” in the “Archivo Nacional”.

This exposition was made for historians that wanted rescue the history of woman for this era (s. XX) because in the books or in the history generally appear men as main character. The historians said that the political is more than one a reference to power of state, institutions, economy or relation with the power… The political is too rethinking the organization of everyday life of women and men.

The exposition was prepared with elements that the families give as donation. Although,  I went just for see the thing of my grandmother, I surprised because I found in this place very interesting documents, photographs, for examples, the photograph of woman work in organizations (ONG),and wardrobe of women in this time, as the dress of the first Miss Chile or the nurses outfit.

In this exposition, my grandmother Ana Eugenia Ugalde, was in the section of policy. For me, see her in this place was a pride and a big honor, because she was a feminist that fought for suffrage female and she was a first woman deputy together two friends. My mother donated photographs of my grandmother, letters her father of political party radical when his was exiled in Argentina for object to a government in his time, and book that she wrote about your experience in political.

How green are you?

Actually I’m consider that I'm a person responsible with the careful of environment.
For instance, in my house, all my familiy recycle the plastics, papers, carboards, etc. in the back yard, we have a especial place for recycle all this waste, because all the Wednesday past a truck for outside of my condominium for carry the waste. We are responsible, because all us recycle and worry for take out the waste all Tuesday in the night.  In fact, sometimes I pick up rubbish that I see in the ground  for it leave in the dustbin.
Moreover, in my house we don’t have cars, consecuently we use a public transport and I use my bike for come to the university or other place, except when I have to travel long distance.
Furthermore, I’m saleswoman of Natura product, because I belive in the concept of use personal products as makeup, shampoo, gel, etc. responsibility with environment. For examples, the bar of soap is made with materials 100% vegetable, and perfum is 100%  vegetable acohol, this no pollute. This company is a model of development sustainable, because  Natura have a  certificate of “carbono neutro”,  reforestation of wood that  used in the production,  Natura don’t execute test in animals and work with native comunities of Brazil.
Nevertheless,  I don't consider me responsible with the use of water, because I take too long in the shower, in general my family to take long showers, except my mother, because she worry for the paid.

Art

In my career I read very much, but I have short time for read books that interesting moreover of Phychology.  Within the books that I like it, I remember that in my berthday of 15, my father present me “El Priencipito”, said me that your mather as well present when he was a  teens. This book is my favorite because the history is very beautiful  and show the look of child. Furthermore, this book left  teachings and I listen that you read this book in different moment of your life, you can found other teaching.

Furthermore, the music  is other kind of art that is important in my life because is related with the dance, my pasion. First of all, I love dance all type of dance, and so, I like all type of music. I said in a post previous that I practice “Spanish Dance”, and so, I like music of folk dance, for example, “fandango”, “jota” or “sevillana”. The music that I like listen when I am alone is music of  “Jorge Drexler”, because is calm and the lyrics are nice,  too because I have with  my boyfriend pretty memorys with some lirics of this artist. When was the festival  “Despertar”, I was  with my boyfriend for see and listen to “Jorge Drexler”. Whereas, when I’m with my friends listen other music , for instance, “salsa”, because sometimes we dance this music.

The Guardian Job is a page of internet that helps the people for find jobs. As well in this page divulges news.

Today I looked for news related with my carrier, specifically Psychology Education, but I don’t found news interesting for me.

But I have to do my blog today about a news that appear in this page, and so choose a news about “What happens to your body if you don't let it sleep?”. In this text the author said that university students have little hours of sleep because they work in the night for finish your study and works.  I think that is very bad, but sometimes is a bad necessary.

In this text, the author said that be up all night have consequences, for instance, eventually appear “neuropsychiatric disorders such as anxiety and bipolar depression” and “affects blood pressure and levels of inflammation, resulting in an increased susceptibility to heart disease and cancer”. The effects in a short time are: “addiction and impulsive behavior”.

Furthermore, some research indicates that sleep deprivation, there could be permanent brain damage.

Finally this document propose that study all-nighter before an exam, does more harm than good, because “the consolidation of memories occurs during deep sleep.”

This isn’t new to me, because I learn it in my class of neuropsychology, but maybe it’s useful for you…

Pets

When I was a little, I lived in a big house; in here I had so animals like a zoo.  In the yard  were two aviarys. One with canarys and other with “catas” and qualis. I liked see this birds, bacause your colors was a very beautifull,  too listen your songs and see a little birds.

In other yard, I had a cage for rabbits, in total I had a nine rabbits, all they were of fallen ears, is a little breed. My favorite rabbits was “Tambor”, because It was  playful.  It was black and fat, because he liked  feed all day.

My dogs were in a back yard, they were “pastor aleman”. One of them called “Reina”, it was my first pet. She was a good dog, because she was train, she was gone to championships and won  trophys.  Years later, she had fourteen  puppy and my house was fill of little dogs, it was very fun for me and my sister. But my parents sell all puppy, except one “Camila”.

The hamsters, other pets that I had. My mother hate him, because they are similar of a mouse. But my father liked this animals and he was build a very accessories for they like tunnels.

And now I have a two fish in my bedroom, but I homesick have other pets in my house.
